Jonathan Green – Mag-I-Cal® Plus is a specialized soil amendment formulated to address both soil pH imbalances and compaction issues, creating an ideal environment for robust lawn growth. Available in two formulations—one for acidic soils and another for alkaline soils—Mag-I-Cal® Plus effectively adjusts soil pH to the optimal range of 6.2 to 7.0, enhancing nutrient availability and promoting healthier turf.
The acidic soil formula contains soluble calcium carbonate, which rapidly raises low soil pH, while the alkaline soil formula includes sulfur and gypsum to lower high soil pH. Both formulations help to break up compacted soil, improving air, water, and nutrient penetration to the root zone. Additionally, Mag-I-Cal® Plus stimulates beneficial microbial activity, further enhancing soil fertility and overall lawn vitality.
