Containing 5% trifluralin as its active ingredient, this product is suitable for use in container-grown ornamentals, landscape ornamentals, nursery stock, ground covers, established flowers, ornamental bulbs, non-bearing fruit and nut trees, and non-bearing vineyards. It effectively controls weeds such as crabgrass, barnyardgrass, goosegrass, foxtail, carpetweed, and pigweed.
Application should occur before or after planting but prior to weed seed germination, or immediately after cultivation. The herbicide requires activation through a single rainfall or irrigation of 0.5 inches or more within 24 hours of application. The standard application rate is 80 pounds per acre (1.8 pounds per 1,000 square feet), providing up to three months of weed control, depending on environmental factors and weed pressure.
